I do seminars and I make my own dvds to sell. At first they looked homemade but then I found these guys and now they look professional! An affordable CD printer?
I’m looking for something than can print directly to the CD like this right here: http://www.discmakers.com/duplicators/printers/Uprint.asp#
It’s fairly affordable, but I was wondering if there are any other options out there and if the one above is Mac compatible?
The reason I need to know is that my band is releasing our first demo record and we’d like just a simple presentation (no artwork labels or anything. Just text that reads our bands name and info on the front of the CD itself)

I think that the best kind of cd printer is lightscribe from hp. You may already have one. If not you can buy an external one that plugs right into your usb drive with one wire so it is extremely easy to do. The lightscribe will also write your cd or dvd and simultaneously put on image on the top of it. So if I were you i would drive down to your nearest electronics store and ask in the computer department about a lightscribe cd drive but make sure you buy one that is external unless you are up for opening up your computer. They are very cheap compared to what you were previously looking at. The external one is $90. All you got to do is buy the lightscribe cd writer and buy some lightscribe cds and then plug it into your computer.

Cheapest and Best do not go together. It’s an Oxy,Moron. There are CD/DVD printers that print directly to the disc. You use Printable discs.
